Angela Khelem holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, where she graduated with Great Distinction. Angela joined Benmor Family Law Group as a summer student in May 2010, where she began receiving intensive training in Family Law. Angela received her Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011 and will be commencing her Articles of Clerkship at Benmor Family Law Group, leading to her admission to the Ontario Bar in 2012.
Angela is proficient in English and Russian.
Before joining Benmor Family Law Group, Angela worked as a research assistant to Dr. Rachel Birnbaum where she compiled qualitative data for several studies dealing with high conflict families experiencing separation and divorce, particularly relating to children’s participation in the Family Court process. Angela was also a volunteer with the Family Law Project of Pro Bono Students Canada where she assisted unrepresented Family Court litigants draft court documents at the Ontario Court of Justice at North York. Angela has also completed the Intensive Child Protection Training program provided by the Ontario Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
In a short time, Angela has established herself as an asset to the firm and to its clients with her avid interest in helping parents and spouses resolve family conflict.
